Abstract

Hypertension in pregnancy is one of the leading causes of maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Knowledge of pregnant women regarding hypertensive disorders is essential in preventing complications and improving maternal outcomes. This study aimed to describe the knowledge level of third-trimester pregnant women about hypertension in pregnancy at Ubung Health Center. A descriptive cross-sectional design was applied with a total sample of 30 respondents recruited through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through frequency distribution. The findings showed that most respondents had good knowledge (60%), while 33.3% had moderate knowledge, and 6.7% had poor knowledge regarding hypertension in pregnancy. This indicates that health education programs conducted at the health center play a role in improving maternal awareness, although some gaps remain. Strengthening counseling services and community-based interventions are recommended to address knowledge disparities.
