Sharing and Workshop on Open Journal System Governance Management at the UNIQBA Faculty

Abstract

One indicator of the progress of an educational institution (university) is the active research conducted by its lecturers and published in scientific journals. Therefore, writing journals is an obligation for every lecturer in addition to teaching students, which is part of the three pillars of higher education. Campus journals based on the Open Journal System (OJS) are also an important part of the existence of both national and international campuses, as well as a forum for collecting and publishing ideas and innovations. Good journals that are recognized as journals today must follow the OJS system in their management. OJS requires all parties, including lecturers who are authors, reviewers, editorial teams, and editors, to implement a professional and open system of scientific writing. coupled with the Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 9 of 2018 concerning Scientific Journal Accreditation, which is an official recognition of the quality assurance of scientific journals through the assessment of the fairness of manuscript screening, management feasibility, and timeliness of scientific journal publication. However, not all journals are well managed, including journals within the Faculty of Qamarul Huda Badaruddin Bagu University, which already have an ISSN in print and online media, but the journal team's lack of knowledge in Open Journal System (OJS) management has resulted in the journal
