JAGAC:Journal of Applied General Clinical Nursing | publishes original research findings, systematic reviews, case studies, and scholarly articles that address a wide range of topics related to Clinical Nursing Practice, Nursing Education, Nursing Leadership and Management, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, Nursing Informatics, Public Health and Community Nursing, Palliative Care and Chronic Illness Managemen, Global Health and Transcultural Nursing. Papers presented at recognized conferences may be considered for publication. The journal is published two times a year, namely in April and October. The language of the journal is English, and all manuscripts submitted for publication are subject to peer review by editors. Those manuscripts which are considered proper by editors are sent to at least two experts in the field. Those articles not accepted for publication will be returned to the author. The editorial board reserves the right to edit all manuscripts for clarity or structure, fit within the space available, and decide on editorial matters.
All review processes are carried out using a Double-blind review method and are managed by the editorial board. This method keeps the identity of the reviewer confidential from the author. Any reviewer who is asked to review an article by the editor of the JAGAC must comply with the Ethics for Reviewers.
JAGAC provides open access that can be read and downloaded for free to the public and will support the exchange of knowledge in science and humanity service. The copyright of the published article is held by the author and under license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License

Focus & Scope
The JAGAC publishes original research, systematic reviews, case studies, and scholarly articles that address a wide range of topics central to nursing. Our scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following key areas:
- Clinical Nursing Practice: Evidence-based care in various specialties, including critical care, medical-surgical, pediatric, geriatric, and mental health nursing.
- Nursing Education: Research on pedagogical methods, curriculum development, simulation, and competency-based education for nursing students and professionals.
- Nursing Leadership and Management: Studies on leadership models, healthcare system organization, workforce management, and the role of nurses in decision-making.
- Patient Safety and Quality Improvement: Research on healthcare quality, risk management, patient safety initiatives, and error prevention strategies in clinical settings.
- Nursing Informatics: The application of information technology and data science to nursing practice, including electronic health records, data analytics, and mobile health solutions.
- Public Health and Community Nursing: Research on health promotion, disease prevention, and the role of nurses in community health programs and population health.
- Palliative Care and Chronic Illness Management: Studies on nursing interventions, models of care, and quality of life for patients with chronic and life-limiting illnesses.
- Global Health and Transcultural Nursing: Research on health issues in diverse global contexts, health disparities, and culturally competent nursing care.
Publication Ethics
The JAGAC: Journal of Applied General Clinical Nursing is committed to ensuring the highest ethical standards in all aspects of its publication process. Our policies align with the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to uphold these principles. Any suspected or reported instances of publication misconduct, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, redundant publication, or undeclared conflicts of interest, will be investigated thoroughly. The journal reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include manuscript rejection, retraction, and notification of the authors' institutions.
Duties of Authors
Authors submitting to this journal are responsible for:
- Originality and Integrity: Submitting original work that has not been previously published or is under consideration by another journal. All data must be genuine, and all sources must be properly and accurately cited to avoid plagiarism.
- Authorship: Ensuring that all individuals listed as authors have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research. The corresponding author must confirm that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and its submission.
- Data and Materials: Providing accurate and verifiable data. Authors may be required to share their raw data and other supporting materials for editorial review.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Clearly disclosing any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as a potential conflict of interest and may have influenced the research outcomes.
- Ethical Approvals: Obtaining and providing evidence of all necessary ethical and institutional approvals for research involving human subjects.
Duties of Editors
Editors of this journal are responsible for:
- Impartiality: Evaluating manuscripts based solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
- Confidentiality: Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and all associated communication until the manuscript is officially published.
- Conflict of Interest: Recusing themselves from handling any manuscript where a conflict of interest exists, whether due to personal, professional, or financial relationships.
- Decision-Making: Making publication decisions based on the scientific validity, originality, significance, and relevance of the manuscript, as well as the feedback from qualified reviewers.
- Transparency: Ensuring the peer-review process is fair, transparent, and timely, and communicating all decisions and feedback clearly to the authors.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers for this journal are responsible for:
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Providing expert, objective, and constructive feedback to assist the Editor-in-Chief in making informed editorial decisions.
- Promptness and Confidentiality: Delivering a review within the designated timeframe and treating the manuscript as a confidential document, not to be shared or discussed with others.
- Objectivity: Providing an impartial and unbiased assessment of the manuscript's quality. All criticism must be professional and focused on the content of the work.
- Conflicts of Interest: Declaring any potential conflicts of interest and declining to review a manuscript if such a conflict exists.
- Ethical Concerns: Notifying the editor of any potential ethical issues, such as suspected plagiarism, data manipulation, or duplicate publication.
Guidelines for Authors
- General Submission Requirements: All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission portal. The corresponding author must be registered in the system. Submissions must be original and not concurrently submitted elsewhere.
- Manuscript Formatting: Manuscripts should be prepared using a standard word processing program and adhere to the journal's specific formatting guidelines. This includes a clear title page, abstract, keywords, and properly formatted headings (e.g., Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion).
- Language and Style: All submissions must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Authors are strongly encouraged to have their manuscript professionally proofread prior to submission.
- Citation and Referencing: The journal follows the IEEE style. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all citations and the reference list.
- Ethical Compliance: Manuscripts reporting on human studies must include a statement in the Methods section confirming that ethical approval was obtained and that informed consent was secured where applicable.
