Education Using Leaflets for Medication Supervisors Regarding Attitudes to Prevent TB Transmission

A medication supervisor is someone who ensures the regularity of taking medication for TB patients. The role of the PMO in the TB patient treatment process is not only limited to treating TB patients, but also preventing TB transmission to other family members. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on PMOs on attitudes towards preventing TB transmission. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with one group pre-test-post-test, the sampling technique in this study was Total sampling. The population was all medication supervisors (PMOs) of TB patients who were still undergoing routine treatment in the Janapria Health Center work area. The existing sample was 40 people. Statistical test data analysis was Wilcoxon. The research instruments were questionnaires and leaflets. From the Wilcoxon statistical test, a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05) was obtained. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an Effect of Providing Education Using Leaflet Media for Medication Supervisors (PMOs) of TB Patients on Attitudes to Prevent TB Transmission in the Work Area of ??the UPTD BLUD Janapria Health Center.
