Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Sikap dengan Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy (BSE)

Abstract

Breastfeeding self-efficacy (BSE) atau Efikasi diri menyusui merupakan keyakinan ibu terhadap kemampuan diri dalam melaksanakan proses menyusui secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dengan Breastfeeding self-efficacy (BSE). Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 75 ibu menyusui, sedangkan sampel sebanyak 50 responden dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa variabel pengetahuan tidak memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan efikasi diri menyusui, ditunjukkan oleh nilai p sebesar 0,243 (p > 0,05). Sebaliknya, variabel sikap menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan efikasi diri menyusui, dengan nilai rasio prevalensi (PR) sebesar 1,579. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa ibu yang memiliki sikap positif  terhadap laktasi dan pemberian ASI berpeluang sekitar 1,6 kali efikasi diri menyusui tinggi dibandingkan dengan ibu yang memiliki sikap negatif. Nilai p sebesar 0,049 (p < 0,05) memperkuat adanya hubungan bermakna antara sikap ibu dan efikasi diri menyusui. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sikap ibu terhadap proses menyusui berperan penting dalam meningkatkan efikasi diri menyusui, sedangkan tingkat pengetahuan tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik
